Right down the road from Damarine Antiques, Pemaquid Point in Maine's Damariscotta region is one of the most beautiful areas in coastal Maine.   The next peninsula after Boothbay Harbor (and on the way to Camden), Pemaquid Peninsula is comprised of the towns of Pemaquid, New Harbor, Bristol and Round Pound.   It also is home of one of Maine's most iconic lighthouses, built in 1835 at Pemaquid Point.

Another  attraction in Bristol is the Colonial Pemaquid State Historic Site which offers a glimpse of what life was like at an English frontier settlement during the 17th and 18th centuries. There is the partially

reconstructed Fort William Henry, the Fort House, actual site of the village , ancient cemetery and a museum.
