long gun. Two small brass hook eyes secure the
cover. Original paint on exterior. Interior is not
compartmentalized . This was not a carrying case

Exotic federal transitional bureau circa
1830. Draw fronts in dramatic bird`s eye
maple with original mahogany pulls and
brass escutcheons . Turned columns and
tulip shaped legs, drawer bottoms hand
chamfered, fine hand cut dovetails and
square cut nails. Solid mahogany back
splash is a replacement using a template
from an " of- the- period " bureau. Back
boards are hand - chamfered .

Classical Period two over two bureau / server
in mahogany with paw feet . Handmade by the
Fuller Company in 1801. Signed and dated on
backboard behind two upper drawers. Back
splash is hand planed and features a curved
design that is unusual. Square cut nails, finely
cut dovetailing, and hand planed wood
surfaces. Book matched veneers on drawer
fronts and the escutcheons are original. A fine
example of the last of hand made American
furniture.
